so i have had
wild,
out of control,
totally inconsistent
wavy/curly hair
my entire life.
actually, when B and i were dating,
i revealed to him that my hair was not actually straight
but i promised that he would never see it curly.
well, a few months ago,
i revised what i said
and told him that
he might never see my hair straight again.
i came across
this invaluable blog post
on finally how to care for
my wavy/curly locks
and it has changed my life.
i’m serious.
do you believe that i have
not brushed my hair in months?
well, it’s true.
and it doesn’t look like a bird’s nest.
well, at least the parts that i can see.
what used to be a
big,
frizzy
mess
is now finally under control.
and frankly, i was tired of people seeing K’s curly hair
and asking me where she got it from.
um, that would be me.
i also was tired of sending K the message
that i was taking the curly hair
that the Lord gave me
and straightening it instead.
i want her to embrace her curls her entire life.
a sweet blogger friend
has curly hair and a daughter with curly hair
and she has been such an encouragement to me
in this new adventure of wearing my hair curly.
so if you have naturally wavy/curly hair,
i encourage you to wear it that way.
you’ll be so thrilled that you did.
i am.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
