lights.

this past week, the kids and i had the chance to visit my parents
and see this year’s boat parade.
which was even more lovely than last year’s.

not only are the houses on the water beautifully decorated,

the boats are simply incredible.
we even saw one with a live band on it.

we cruised the harbor in the heated
(yay for that!)
electric boat while eating dinner
and then docked to watch the boats go by.
when it was over, D wasn’t certain it was really over.
he thought we should wait there for just a bit longer
just in case one more boat came by.

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea,
during the time of King Herod,
Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked,
“Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?
We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

Matthew 2:1-2
