my hope and prayer with this project
is that i will continue to see,
with God’s lens,
the extraordinary within the mundane.
this focus on photography
allows me to notice and experience
the fullness of life.
where grief and sorrow
meet surrender.
and i relish and savor these special,
chaotic,
loud,
quiet,
draining,
beautiful moments,
knowing that these are
the good old days.
and being reminded and reminding myself
that the moments are fleeting.
and instead of getting stuck in the anguish of that realization,
i choose to live
right here.
and soon enough, i will long for these
good old days.
coming to love the mundane.
to look for God there.
for He is right here.
