heart.

we don’t deserve
this precious addition to our family.
we are so very grateful.
to God.
grateful to God
for this opportunity to be parents again.

right before we were to be released from the hospital,
the pediatricians were making their rounds
and saw our new little girl for the third time
since she had been born.

and on that day,
they heard a heart murmur.
so they paged a cardiologist
to come and give her an echo.

we started praying and received complete peace,
even without any results from this test.
not the kind of false peace where “everything would be all right.”
but the perfect peace
that comes only from knowing that our hope rests in Him
and that Jesus would be with us all
no matter what.

our sweet baby F does have a very small
(smaller than a pinhole)
hole in her heart
(in the wall separating the two lower chambers of her heart).

it’s called a VSD (ventricular septal defect)
and we need to see a cardiologist in a month.
the cardiologist at the hospital said that
it’s nothing to be concerned about
and will most likely be closed in the next couple of months.

But those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Psalm 34:10

No good thing does he withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
Psalm 84:11

with everything,
with everything
we will shout for Your glory.
with everything,
with everything
we will shout forth Your praise.

even holes in hearts.
yes.
even those.
