picture me {im}perfectly.the first day back.

well, it happened.
summer is officially over.
i could not believe that we were walking back to school…
and that our summer is finished already!

while the bigs were gone,
i enjoyed many a thought in my head.
i don’t think i’ve been able to do that
all summer long.

it was nice.
it was quiet.
and L and i kept each other company
(he starts in a couple of weeks).

and you know what?
i really, really enjoyed it.
so picture me {im}perfectly because
i am a much better mom
when my children are not glued to my side
every moment of every day.

i am refreshed,
i am happy to see them
and i am ready to hear every tiny detail
of D’s latest inventions
and i am ready to have K tell me every little thing she saw.
i really don’t know how you homeschooling moms do it.

and for some reason,
(i assume i was frantically doing this task)
i chose to write “2nd” on D’s paper and “first on K’s.
go figure.

For we are God’s handiwork,
created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.
