or living in the waiting.
so much of life is about the waiting.
waiting until it is time to wake up.
waiting for her to eat her breakfast.
waiting for the coffee to brew.
waiting for her to catch the bus.
waiting for the birds to chirp.
waiting for his flight to take off.
waiting for the washer to finish.
waiting to start the workout.
waiting for the workout to be done.
waiting for the test results.
waiting for the phone call.
waiting for the package to arrive.
waiting for the email.
waiting for the text message.
waiting for the notification.
waiting for the dog to stop barking.
waiting for someone to pick up the phone.
waiting for the phone call to be over.
waiting for his flight to land.
waiting for her to get home from school.
waiting until it is not too late to start making dinner.
waiting until the dishes are in the dishwasher.
waiting for him to be done in the bath.
waiting for her to finish her shower.
waiting until it is time for them to go to bed.
i think this is why Paul said that we need to learn to be content in all circumstances. to learn.
in all of them.
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:11-13
also, did you know that waiting is a verb? let’s let that sink in for a moment.
but instead of waiting, we should be relishing.
relishing in this sip of coffee.
relishing in this fresh breeze pouring over you.
relishing in the gorgeous clouds above you.
relishing in this moment right here.
