have a birthday party

this actually is completely and totally necessary.

i highly recommend having a birthday party.

especially if you have a dear, dear friend who plans the whole thing for you and your only responsibilities for the day of are to do your favorite workout and then to paint your nails.

i cannot even begin to express to you how much that party meant to me.

i know that i have not been properly celebrated like that for over a decade
(mostly because i didn’t think it was necessary. oh, how wrong i was).

so, if you and i are friends, will you please do me a favor?
have a birthday party so that i can come and celebrate you big time.

and if you’re like me and don’t like cake, have your husband bake the most delicious chocolate chip cookies as your dessert.
