gratitude

some moments that have been delighting my heart lately.

how that song was everything
the chillest fall break there ever was
the promise of yolanda’s tonight
knowing that God is working
and using me
in the midst of exactly where i am right now
how easy it is to say yes to her
all the hoots and hollers
a forced treat tomorrow am
a really different and wonderful week
how when i invite God into the impossible, He reveals Himself so mightily
(why do i have to keep learning this lesson over and over again?)
how the book and my huge typed up list is all ready to go
how my delay in texting her was God’s most perfect perfect perfect timing
(of course)
walking on the rug the whole way there
seeing the moon peek through on a quick jaunt outside on this lovely warm evening
and all of the magnificent stars above
finding a great solution to a big problem (thank you, stacy with a y)
them not sharing a room this week
the swans overheard
how even my phone was telling me that wasn’t the place for me
how i have been here before
the little family of leaves being scattered in front of my car on this blustery day
