gratitude
some moments that have been delighting my heart lately.

the very best breakfast place (x2)
and how we had to go through all of that to discover it
the funniest spot to enjoy our coffee (parked in front of her dorm)
meeting the loveliest of folks
meeting her absolutely delightful group of friends
seeing two hot dogs, uncle sam and the statue of liberty walk by while we were enjoying our bbq dinner
meeting so many special needs families
finding a second coffee spot when the first didn’t really exist
being able to feed her some good food
patio seating for dinner (always the best)
all four of us ordering the same thing
and those fries
thinking about all of the special memories the sisters are getting together
finn being instant friends with the other little sisters
all the best ice you could ever desire
and ice cream
realizing maybe it’s not a longer nights sleep that i’m really looking for
the surprise of a great new hotel
being able to talk it all out with bob
knowing that God, too, is in this weird and wild new season
watching the leaves actually fall
during the season of fall
the repeated confirmation that this is the school for her
randomly running into the one friend we hadn’t yet seen
nearly finishing two books
m&ms as a meal
sitting in your assigned seat next to someone you know from a long, long time ago on the plane
