kindy!

this little guy is loving kindy!
and we are loving that he is loving it!

this year, our L is at our local elementary school,
in a gen-ed kindy class
with an aide.
and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

he teacher is a gift
and his aide is a gift.

we had to fight
and fight hard
to get him in this class
but know that this year
is going to be a great one for him.
and a great one for us.
and a great one for the kids in his class.
and a great one for the kids at his school.

this is a year where we are forced to be very vulnerable,
more than ever before.
but everywhere we look on campus,
we see people we know
and people who know L.
and i mean really know him.
and really care for him.
it’s been such a gift to be forced to put ourselves out there
and to be met with such open arms.
and people who are open to
things that are a lot the same
and a little bit different.
i do not take this for granted.
not one bit.

I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2
