picture me {im}perfectly.fail

well, last friday was a bust.

B was helping me
pack up the kids
and the lunches
because somehow we were already
incredibly late for the day
and it wasn’t quite 8am.

i thought that B made D’s lunch
until i looked in D’s zipped up lunch bag
to discover remnants from yesterday’s lunch.
(B made the littles’ lunches.)

i can’t even imagine how D would have reacted
if he had gotten his lunch from the day before.

and it was nearly left in the car
and would have come with me to L’s school.

then, only once we arrived inside the gates of D’s school,
i realized that i had forgotten that it was school spirit day.

and to finish off this day,
as D was going to bed,
he was crying because i never showed up
to teach art class that afternoon.
there was a schedule change and i hadn’t realized it.
oh man.

i am not perfect.
not even close.

head over to Danica’s linked up post

your house is not picture perfect,

For our light and momentary troubles
are achieving for us an eternal glory
that far outweighs them all.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen,
but on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:17, 18
