halloween.

we got this adorable frame
from my mother-in-law
and it’s actually up year-round
because the photo is one of our favorites.

when i moved it to our peninsula for halloween,
K asked why it wasn’t connected to any other photos.
we couldn’t figure out what she was talking about for a couple of days.
and then it hit me.
she was wondering why she wasn’t able to scroll through more than this photo.
on a picture frame.
because she thought it would do what an ipad does.
oh my…

we carved pumpkins the day before halloween
because since it’s generally so warm around halloween,
our carved pumpkins go bad a lot faster.

and last year,
D wouldn’t clean his out because he didn’t like the way it felt.
he got over that this year.

and i’m sure you’re wondering if we enjoyed pumpkin seeds.
yes, yes we did.
purchased directly from trader joe’s.

and we were blessed by such a lovely sunset.

D requested to be a blue robot.
so B created this costume
(he’s a big believer in home-made costumes as that’s how he grew up)

he had a parade at school
where we didn’t include the pants portion of the costume.

and minnie mouse
(sans the black nose)
came to watch the parade.

our halloween photos!

L is a bandit
and wore the cutest little cowboy boots

and of course, minnie mouse and a robot
were carved.

I am with you and will watch over you
wherever you go,
and I will bring you back to this land.
I will not leave you until I have done
what I have promised you.”
