picture me {im}perfectly.

this week’s
picture me {im}perfectly
won’t be nearly as intense as last week’s.
phew.

for our Christmas card,
65 photos were taken
and we ended up with only
three legitimate options.
all of which needed a little photoshopping by my sister.

you see, this year,
D blessed us
(and nearly all of our photos)
with a collection of the funny faces
that he has been working on in 2010.

yep, he thought he was pretty funny

and that somehow he was actually going to get away with those shenanigans.
which of course, he did.
that is, until i downloaded the photos.

and this one,
is one of my absolute favorite photos.
i am seriously contemplating putting it above our mantle.
it makes me laugh
every.
single.
time.
i look at it.
this is our life.

picture me {im}perfectly
is a weekly project to reveal that we don’t have it all together.

i will post a
picture me {im}perfectly
blog post every wednesday
where you will be able to link up to your blog
(or leave a comment)
for the whole week
(until the following tuesday).
revealing that:
you are not picture perfect,
your kids are not picture perfect,
your house is not picture perfect,
your crafts are not always picture perfect,

let’s
encourage,
inspire and
remind
other women
that none of us have it all together.

  1. Thanks for yesterday's photo challenge. Did you know she's only a little over an hour from me? In Norfolk, VA. How cool. She's got GREAT photo tips!

  2. Awesome photos! Love the funny faces! I'm completely there with you and my son is only 2 and a half. Haha! I guess I should prepare to put up with funny faces for quite some time. ;o) Again, I just LOVE reading your blog. Eases my mind to know that I'm not the only frazzled mother in the United States. =) Motherhood is such a challenging journey, but a rewarding one as well. Thanks for reasurring me about the potty in the car! I've yet to get one, but it's on the agenda for this weekend. We've been at home all week so we can get accustomed to going on the potty. I'm going a little bit crazy…I won't lie.

  3. I LOVE this picture too! And one day I'll have to show a very similar one I had of all three of our kids on our mantle at one time. All making crazy or seriously disgusted looking faces. I was tempted to use it as our Christmas card that year. Because yes, you're right it is real life. ANd the other thing, is right around that same age Jackson started permanently making faces in every picture like that too and it lasted well over a year I'm sorry to say. But it did go away. 🙂

LOL. LOVE the last one. You and B look irritated. It's so funny. Such a classic "life with kids" moment. Luckily you all still look fabulous, no matter the expression on your faces! 🙂

Cool that D can roll his tongue like that. I still wonder how people are able to do that (I think I'm the only one in my family who can't!). Beautiful family :).
