well.

well, yesterday was quite the day.

L had a bit of a fever and when he didn’t seem to be getting
much better,
but instead got
much worse,
i started freaking out.
because i’ve been there before.

i considered the comfort of my clothes
(if they would stand up to the test of an overnight stay in the hospital),
whether or not my cell phone was charged up,
if i had eaten enough for the day
(the answer was definitely no),
what the big kids would think.
and on and on and on.

fearfully, L and i headed to the doctor’s to see what they would say.

Praise the Lord,
it seems to be just a virus
and will hopefully run its course in a few days.
it definitely got worse once we got home
(103.6 temp.)
but then it got better
(98.6 temp.).
instead of being prepped for a stay in the hospital,

i was yet again, prepped for what to do in case of a seizure.
we know that having the condition that L has
already puts him at risk for seizures
and illnesses merely increase that chance.

but last night,
after some medicine,
and some good food,
L was nearly back to himself.
Praise the Lord.

in other news,

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies?
Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.
Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

4 thoughts on “well.”

  1. praise the Lord for "just a virus" although sometimes it's hard to not know the cause! prayers L stays on the mend!

  2. Praise be to God that L is feeling better and that he didn't need to go to the hospital.

Your dad is amazing as I am sure he was happy to fold it…dirty and all. He definitely has the joy of the Lord!

  3. blessings…a good thing to count.
